Why isn't my credit card swiper working?

MINDBODY Express™ requires access to your microphone in order to work with your credit card swiper. If the swiper isn't working, you may need to grant MINDBODY Express microphone access. Here's how:

  • Go into your Settings menu, tap Privacy, and then Microphone.
  • In the Microphone menu, you'll see the MINDBODY Express app. Make sure the toggle switch is turned on. (The switch background will turn green in iOS 7.1.1.)

If you've granted MINDBODY Express access to your microphone, and the credit card swiper still isn't working, then try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Make sure the swiper is fully plugged into the audio jack on your iPad.
  2. Turn up the volume on your iPad.
  3. If the credit card swiper is still not working, then go into the main menu, and hit Support and Feedback. Tap Submit Support Request, and let us help you resolve the issue.
